Tezos Delegation Service – Announcement #2

Dear Delegators,

We are happy to announce that today,

we have transferred the rewards for the first quarter (Cycle 10 – 21) to the according delegators.

Given our status of overdelegation at some points in time, we have had some interruption in our baking process due to the lack of deposit. We have prepared a spreadsheet, which outlines the calculation approach for each cycle and the according XTZ rewards allocated. “Priority” states the point of time someone has joined us as delegator. Under “Summary” you’ll find your XTZ address and the according rewards per cycle. If you have no rewards for a specific cycle, you were in overdelegation mode. To reiterate what we have already communicated in our last statement: we pay on a first-come-first-serve basis. This means that the first comers are paid in full, while late comers – in a worst case scenario – will receive zero rewards for the specific cycle in which we were in overdelegation.

Please check the link below for the detailed calculation spreadsheet.

We have been in overdelegation mode during 2 cycles out of 12. Please have a look at the specific tabs describing the specific cycles. Whenever the expected rewards are higher than the total rewards, then we were in overdelegation mode and accordingly some delegators were above the threshold (i.e. not receiving any rewards).

We would like to emphasize, that we run currently a discounter strategy. This involves the payout of 95% of all generated rewards. We are aware that many of our competitors have a fancier user experience, better client service, shorter payment cycles and a more comprehensive offering in general. We believe in the Tezos network and we want to serve the Tezos network, but we consider profitability measures as well. As a result, we focus on the most important “features” such as security and accurate payments. We will continue our baker for the time being and should the mid-term profitability outlook improve, we will improve our service level as well (better front end, voting, delegator events etc.). We have added a newsletter subscription form (yes, that one is minimalistic too) for AirBie Delegate, so feel free to subscribe.

The next quarterly payment is expected towards the end of December 2018.

The AirBie Delegate website will soon go into stealth mode (typing in the exact address or link will still give access) as we have some public campaign going on for AirBie Bike (another blockchain project we run). This does not mean that we will stop to bake, it’s simply a marketing action for the time being.

Kindest regards

The AirBie Team
